Pete Markow, managing shareholder, devotes his practice primarily to Oil and Gas and Real Estate transactions. He also assists in mass tort litigation, with experience in toxic tort/environment/asbestos litigation, as well as pharmaceutical litigation. His early experience was in stand-up title opinions for oil and gas purposes, with related experience in Chancery and Circuit court practice, as well as product liability and medical malpractice cases. Pete has been an active participant in the oil and gas industry since August 1977 when he joined the Mississippi Association of Petroleum Landmen and the Mississippi Oil and Gas Lawyers Association. Pete is admitted to practice before all state and federal courts in Mississippi. He is currently a member of the various Bar Associations throughout the State of Mississippi. He served as Associate Director of the Mississippi Association of Petroleum Landmen.

Pete graduated from the University of Mississippi and received his J. D. Degree from the University of Mississippi School of Law in 1977.

Pete resides in Jackson with his wife Jenny. They have two sons, Mark and Majure.
