Garner Berry

Garner Berry practices personal injury defense litigation with an emphasis on transportation/trucking litigation, products liability, premises liability and medical malpractice. Garner grew up in Hazlehurst, Mississippi, where he most recently practiced law for approximately a year and a half in his hometown before joining Markow Walker. Prior to practicing in Hazlehurst, Garner was a Partner at a large defense firm where he practiced for seven years after graduating from the University of Mississippi School of Law in 2002. He is admitted to practice law in Mississippi before all state and federal courts, including the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.
Garner received an AV Rating from Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review after only six years of practice, which he currently maintains, and has been selected by his peers for inclusion in Mid-South Super Lawyers as a Rising Star in 2009, 2010 and 2011. He has also been published in Defense Research Institute's For the Defense: In Transit in February 2010, and has contributed to other publications and seminars for DRI and ALFA International. Lastly, Garner is a member of numerous professional and bar associations and served as Substantive Liaison and Vice-Liaison to the DRI Trucking Committee.
Garner and his wife, Molly, are the proud parents of two sons, Charlie and Baylor. Garner enjoys sporting events, exercising, hunting, and spending time with family and friends. Him and his family are active members of Christ United Methodist Church in Jackson where he participates in the youth ministry leadership. |
